Ceres and Eaton invite accredited members of the media to the Eaton Experience Center – Pittsburgh on Thursday, Feb. 8, for a tour and remarks on clean energy investment in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The event will feature federal and Pennsylvania policymakers as well as major employers and focus on the important partnership between the public and private sectors to maximize recent federal clean energy and infrastructure legislation.
Businesses in attendance will include Eaton, Holcim, Duquesne Light, and IKEA. They will be joined by several EPA officials and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Interim Acting Secretary, along with other federal and state policymakers.
Recent federal clean energy and infrastructure legislation has unleashed a surge of private investment across the U.S. and Pennsylvania is already benefiting mightily. Since the summer of 2022, the state has already secured nearly $700 million in new clean energy projects, which are projected to create more than 1,150 new jobs. This event will celebrate this success while exploring opportunities for further policy and business action to invite even greater investment in Pennsylvania’s energy system and industrial sector.
The event kicks off with a tour of the Eaton Experience center, a full-scale demonstration and testing facility showing the technologies powering energy systems everywhere. Visitors can see firsthand the latest advances in clean energy technologies including electric vehicle charging, microgrid systems with solar and energy storage, and the solutions enabling electrification for homes and buildings.
