Unwanna supports investor engagement on just transition through the Ceres Investor Network and Climate Action 100+ North America working group, as well as manages relationships with communities and labor unions.
Unwanna comes to Ceres most recently from MAYE Corps (the Metro Atlanta Youth Energy Corps), where she worked with justice and community-oriented action groups and identified partnership opportunities to promote energy equity.
While completing her bachelor’s degree at Georgia Tech, Unwanna deployed a variety of sustainability initiatives with Metro Atlanta governments. Most notably, she led the creation of the City of Woodstock’s first sustainability plan.
Since 2019 and to date, Unwanna has been an active member of the RCE Greater Atlanta, where she co-authored the network’s Equity Principles.
In 2020, Unwanna was recognized by GreenBiz as an Emerging Leader in the field.
