Michelle leads Ceres’ efforts with institutional investors to drive corporate action on addressing the most severe and systemic risks to freshwater resources around the globe.
Prior to Ceres, Michelle was one of the first members of Oxfam America’s Private Sector Department, where she worked as Campaigns and Policy Advisor for over a decade. During her time at Oxfam, Michelle led on investor engagement and shareholder advocacy, and provided strategic guidance on corporate engagements and campaigns. Prior to Oxfam, Michelle worked at the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma, where she helped launch a master’s degree program in post-conflict recovery. Michelle also ran a wellness company for a number of years focused on empowering women, building community, and promoting a vegan lifestyle.
Michelle holds a Master of Social Work from Boston College, where she specialized in community organizing, social policy, and international socio-economic development, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and French Studies from Rice University.
