Jonathan Halperin has more than 25 years of experience in nonprofit and commercial organizations such as SustainAbility, Ltd., Resources for the Future, and FYI Resources for a Changing World.  In his current role at Designing Our Future, he supports and provokes leaders in business and nonprofit organizations to embrace collaboration and make the changes required to ensure success.
Recent projects include extensive work with Greyston, New York State’s first registered benefit corporation, on strategic communications, brand, partnership, and reshaping external affairs and development functions; collaboration with the Equitable Food Initiative to drive systemic change throughout the fresh produce supply chain; and ongoing expansion of Mundo Verde’s TeachFood! program. His strategic communications work includes development of campaign platforms for documentary films including Hope in a Changing Climate and A Place at the Table as well as short-form videos with Paul Polman (Unilever), Jostein Solheim (Ben & Jerry’s), and Kat Taylor (Beneficial State Bank).
He is currently incubating three new projects: DemocracyInAmerica, The Healthy Company, and an examination of the power of externalities.
Halperin is a graduate of Duke University and lives outside Washington, DC.
