Heather is director of communications and marketing, where she helps develop and shape the content and messaging that spotlights Ceres’ work with investors and companies and on other sustainability initiatives. In her role, Heather leads the development of reports that Ceres publishes throughout the year to engage partners, move policy and showcase the thought leadership of Ceres’ experts on climate change, water scarcity and pollution and inequitable workplaces. Heather also works with teams across the organization to develop other communications, from opinion editorials to blogs to infographics, designed to inform and raise awareness of Ceres role as an influential sustainable nonprofit.  Â
Prior to joining Ceres, Heather was the senior writer for the CEO of a Fortune 500 logistics company, where she collaborated with senior teams to develop communications and marketing strategies. She also worked extensively as an independent corporate writer, creating strategic content for corporations, consultants and nonprofits, including the New York Times T Brand Studio, IBM, BCG and Ceres. Heather spent most of her career as an award-winning journalist for BusinessWeek and Bloomberg, writing and editing stories that explored the evolution and business of technology and sustainability. In 2016, Heather published her first book, a memoir about rescuing cats in the wilds of New Jersey.
