Claude is a primary relationship manager responsible for recruiting, retaining and engaging asset managers and institutional asset owners of the Ceres Investor Network, the investor group committed to more rigorous sustainability policies and practices, including improved management of greenhouse gas emissions and energy and water resources.
His most recent role was with the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN). As the Associate Director Investors’ Council & Leadership Initiatives he led a leadership program aiming to provide a forum for experienced impact investors to strengthen best practices and spearhead network initiatives. Beyond that he designed and oversaw the GIIN’s Knowledge Hubs, a virtual offering building capacity around specific impact investing themes, such as Gender Lens Investing, DEI, Blended Finance and Climate Action.
Prior to the GIIN he served as Senior Advisor and Deputy Head of Sustainable Finance at WWF Switzerland, where he was principally focused on the systematic engagement with the Swiss retail banking sector, the second pillar pension system, the asset management sector as well as the related stakeholder groups. Before entering the NGO space, he spent 15 years in the Swiss financial industry. As an investment consultant and key account manager for renowned Swiss banks and asset managers, he advised institutional asset owners and UHNWI, focusing on responsible, sustainable, and rule-based investment strategies.
Furthermore, Claude currently serves on several advisory boards in the field of sustainable finance (FNG-Label Committee, NATIVE Advisory Board on Sustainable Insurance, REWARDHeat Financial Advisory Board).
Claude holds a business bachelor's degree in business administration and additional finance and sustainability-specific certificates (CSIA Certified Sustainability Investments Advisor, CIFB Certified International Fund Business, Certified SRI).
