Chuck works with the marketing and communications team to create thought leadership and marketing products that elevate Ceres’ message through clear, consistent, and compelling design. He also supports staff in preparing their own communications materials while ensuring they reflect Ceres’ brand guidelines and appropriately address cultural, accessibility, and intellectual property factors.
Prior to joining Ceres, Chuck held dual appointments in Tufts University’s data analytics and graphic design programs and at the University of Maryland Global Campus. Previously, he taught at the University of Wisconsin and the Rhode Island School of Design and served as the chief designer for the United States Copyright Office, where he managed the agency’s branding and publications programs. And as if all that hasn’t kept him busy enough, Chuck maintains a studio that produces award-winning fonts on commission and for retail distribution.
He holds an M.F.A. in graphic design from the Rhode Island School of Design, a B.A. in English from Boston University, and is an alum of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston’s studio diploma program.
