Bridget is a communications and marketing manager. In this role, she manages all strategic communications for the Food and Forest team, including developing and executing external communications plans. She writes columns, blogs, and newsletters; conducts media relations and prepares thought leaders for interviews, drafts messaging, such as for social media and the website; and supports virtual webinars and team events, among other activities.
Before joining Ceres, Bridget worked for the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business where she managed public relations and ran the Ross News page as well as organized events to promote the school and its faculty experts. Bridget also worked for a B2B public relations agency, where she developed content for many clients in the automotive industry. Prior to entering public relations, Bridget worked as a journalist and contractor for several media outlets, including Crain’s Detroit Business and the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Bridget volunteers her communications and marketing skills to support the Tandana Foundation, a global nonprofit that partners with communities in Ecuador and Mali on a variety of projects. She holds bachelor’s degrees in journalism and international studies from Miami University in Ohio and a master’s degree in marketing from Walsh College in Troy, Michigan.
