Brenna supports investor engagement activities on ESG issues, with a specific focus on integrating climate change considerations at banks in North America.
Prior to joining Ceres, Brenna worked for the proxy advisory firm Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS), where she provided voting recommendations on publicly traded companies around the world, based on ISS’ six thematic voting policies. Additionally, Brenna built expertise on ESG issues – including climate change, biodiversity, human rights, animal welfare, and sustainability reporting – as it related to proxy voting.
Through a collaborative dual master’s program between George Mason University and the University of Malta, Brenna earned a MSc in Conflict Analysis and Resolution and a MA in Conflict Resolution and Mediterranean Security. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Sociology and a BA in Philosophy.
