Beth serves as the Senior Advisor to the EVP/CPO at Ceres, supporting the uptake and integration of Ceres' Strategic Organizational Plan, programmatic priorities, and event effectiveness across the organization.
Previously, Beth served as the Director of Global Events for the United Nations Foundation, where she oversaw the execution of hundreds of activations, convenings, and high-level dialogues aimed at driving progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) agenda. She brings over fifteen years of professional management experience in hospitality, events, international development, and non-profit settings, with interest in stakeholder engagement, social impact work, and ESG/DEIA strategies.
Just prior to joining Ceres’, Beth was an inaugural member of the Great Resignation. During this time, she educated her young daughter about social responsibility by introducing an in-home composting plan diverting food and organic waste from landfills; read her books that have an inclusive representation of diverse cultures, pioneers, and heroes; and served as an active community member through visits to local gardens, libraries, businesses, and playgrounds.
Beth earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Monmouth University and her master’s in Natural Resources from Virginia Tech. She serves as a gardener for the Plot Against Hunger program under the Arlington Friends of Urban Agriculture, harvesting over 1,300lbs of produce annually from a 760 square-foot urban garden to support a local church food pantry serving over 750 local families. Her interests include hiking, CrossFit, Pilates, gardening, traveling, and reading, and she is an active member of her local community. She lives in Arlington, VA, with her husband, young daughter, and rescue lab.
