Barbara is responsible for overall management of the individual giving program, with a specific focus on major gifts, growth and stewardship of Ceres 1000, and fundraising and cultivation events.
Barbara has consulted on communications, development and strategy for various groups, from an operating foundation in the higher education space, to a global impact investing fund. In her first "office job," she grew revenue sources at the Afterschool Alliance, an organization working to ensure that all children have access to affordable, quality after-school programs. Prior to that, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras. Barbara holds a bachelor's degree from Connecticut College and a master's in international business from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. While at Fletcher, she worked with APCO Worldwide’s corporate responsibility team.
In addition to her work at Ceres, she serves on the Advisory Council of Net Impact Boston and as a Class Fund Agent for her Fletcher class.
