Ana Zacapa has extensive experience in for-profit and philanthropic investing in emerging economies, including a decade on Wall Street focused on Latin America, and 5 years at the Skoll Foundation, one of the world’s most innovative foundations. Her current focus is on the intersection of poverty, climate change and migration in the Americas. She chairs the board of Root Capital, the leading social investor transforming rural communities in Latin America and Africa, with $2B invested. She is an advisor to BFA Industries, the world’s largest beauty community and subscription service, on their sustainability and social impact work. Ana founded the West Coast office of Ceres, the principal nonprofit working with companies and investors to address climate change. She has an Economics degree from Duke University and a master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics. Ana was born and grew up in Honduras and now lives with her family in San Francisco, CA.
