Richa works on the convergence of sustainability, strategy, science-based research and communication to solve intersectional sustainability and climate issues. In her role, she supports the financial sector member companies, especially the banks, in advancing their action on critical sustainability issues by promoting stronger practices into their core business in alignment with the Ceres Roadmap 2030.
Before joining Ceres, she worked in ESG consulting services at Summit Strategy Group. In the past, she has worked on sustainable development, waste management, and circular economy with India's top environmental think-tank called the Centre for Science and Environment. Richa has also worked with an institutional investor firm called Artisan Partners, where she supported the Sustainable Emerging Markets Fund Team with Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) integration, due diligence, and sustainability communication.
She graduated with a Master's in Environment Sustainability from the University of Pennsylvania. At Penn, she worked with a group to initiate a Climate Fellowship called Climate Leaders@Penn to promote climate education amongst her graduate peers. She completed her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from the University of Delhi.
