Our priorities
Between good jobs, clean air, and resilient infrastructure, states have plenty of reasons to adopt smart climate and clean energy policies. We advance and defend state and regional policies that will:
Reduce climate pollution from the power sector.
Increase renewable energy and energy efficiency deployment.
Expand incentives for clean energy solutions and new workforce development opportunities.
Decarbonize buildings and appliances.
Increase access to and availability of electric vehicles and public transit solutions.
Make communities more transit-, walking-, and biking-friendly.
Promote a clean and equitable transportation future.
Protect state fiduciary officers’ freedom to invest responsibly.
For more than a decade, we have leveraged investor and business support for climate, clean energy, clean transportation, and environmental justice policies in states across the country. Many states have already acted—showing that robust climate policy is politically viable, economically beneficial, and can be achieved on a bipartisan basis. And with federal funds from the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act now widely available, state policy is essential to ensuring residents, businesses, and communities fully benefit from these transformational investments.
