Join the Businesses for Sustainable and Resilient Agriculture Working Group

Creating more sustainable and resilient agricultural supply chains requires companies to develop robust sustainability plans, implement them effectively, and advocate for responsible public policies. Businesses for Sustainable and Resilient Agriculture unites companies across sectors, providing a platform for knowledge sharing, cross-sector collaboration, and farm policy advocacy — all of which are essential for reducing risks, strengthening supply chains, and supporting farmers and producers. 

How We Work  

Members meet regularly to discuss topics related to climate transition plans, corporate action, and policy advocacy. Specifically, meetings focus on how to: 

• Plan: Examine available tools and best practices for developing robust climate transition plans. 

• Act: Identify opportunities for pre-competitive collaboration and discuss strategies with peers, Ceres experts, and industry specialists. 

• Advocate: Explore opportunities to engage policymakers on policies that support more sustainable and resilient agricultural supply chains. 

Participation in Businesses for Sustainable and Resilient Agriculture is free for Ceres network members. All other companies will receive a one-year free on-ramp period. 

Member Expectations  

Members commit to attending three all-member working group meetings a year. Meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of February, June, and October from 3:00 to 4:30 pm ET.  

Members can also participate in the following optional breakout group and roundtable opportunities:  

• Policy Breakout Group: Members can dive deeper into public policy updates and advocacy strategies around emergent opportunities.  

• Commodity Roundtables*: Members discuss roadmaps for accelerating climate solutions for specific commodities. In the first year, one roundtable will focus on dairy and one on wheat.  
  *Roundtables will also be open to non-member companies.  

All meetings operate according to Chatham House Rules to encourage open discussion.

The working group is open to Ceres network members and other companies with an interest in sustainable and resilient agriculture.
