For our 30th anniversary year, we saw a record turnout of more than 700 conference attendees. Throughout the conference, we challenged everyone, from investors to corporate leaders, to other nonprofits and lawmakers to help Get US There — to a just and sustainable global economy.
In our World Ceres Talks, we discussed pathways to a shared future, clean tech advances, and the global water crisis. Throughout the more intimate breakout sessions, dozens of thought leaders leaders guided conversations on topics from renewable energy and the much-needed transition to a low carbon economy to water risk in investment portfolios and corporate commitments to no deforestation, plus much more.
We continued the annual tradition of recognizing a leader who continues to transform the capital markets into a system that balances economic prosperity with social and environmental concerns. This year’s Bavaria Award was awarded to Laura Campos, Director of Corporate and Political Accountability of the Nathan Cummings Foundation for her enduring legacy in engaging with public corporations on the most critical opportunities to advance sustainability and equality.
