Dan oversees Ceres’ climate and energy team’s sectoral decarbonization work, industry engagement, and shareholder advocacy. Since joining Ceres in 2000, Dan has led Ceres efforts to decarbonize the electric power sector.Â

Dan has contributed to many reports evaluating the power sector’s performance, including 19 editions of the Benchmarking Air Emissions of the 100 Largest Power Producers. His work has been cited extensively in the media, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Financial Times, Fortune, BusinessWeek, and The Boston Globe. He has also appeared on CNN Headline News, CNBC’s Closing Bell, and Power Lunch. Â

Dan is an avid cyclist and rode in the 2015 and 2019 Climate Rides from Bar Harbor to Boston, helping to raise awareness and funds to tackle the climate crisis. Prior to Ceres, Dan worked as a research associate at the Rocky Mountain Institute. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.Â
